SUPPRESSING VISION
We all live in our own little worlds. This world dictates to us what we see and often how we truly see the world. You see, vision is not something that only explains the cortex of your eyes...but also the context of what you will see and not see.
Let me ask you. What are you willing to see and what vision do you suppress? Many times it becomes easier not to see things about ourselves or our lives than to look at ourselves in plain sight. Many spend their lives painting rose colored lives and refuse to see that they are blind in all other instances.
So how do you see the world?
Is your vision of life and happiness or fruitful relationships blocked by a behavioral stigmatism that makes mountains out of mole hills?
Are you learning disabled because you continuously fight for your right to practice the same old negative thinking, the same bad habits, the same attitudes that never help you to see that the answer to a better life is as the nose is... in plain sight in the middle of your face.
Here are some tips to help you keep it real:
Do not hide from the truth. Refusing to see that your life is a result of the vision that you have for it, will only keep you in the dark.
Look beyond what's obvious and look for a greater meaning for your life and your actions. When you search for a greater understanding, you also expand your ability to create larger opportunities.
Set your sights on something bigger: more love, extreme happiness, a full life. When you tell yourself to settle, you limit your sights and will never see the bigger picture. And finally,
Ask yourself what you are refusing to see? If you are practicing vision suppression by keeping the picture small, it is like never adjusting the pixels on your computer...The images may appear grainy when you expand them. Ask yourself what you are refusing to see...Why are you unhappy, alone, unfulfilled, afraid, angry, broke. Now, just as you do in etch a sketch, wipe the picture clean and begin again to paint a beautiful life where you can choose to see a better future, and a better you.
Prosper!

For Karla
I arrive each time hurried, out of breath, exhausted from all of life's battles--huge or small.
And before I walk through the doors, I know that these are lies that only I tell so that every moment of my life is accountable...Because if life for me is really mostly only toil and strife, it must well be worth it someday. Right? After all, isn't that what all heroines tell themselves? And so I gather the berries of life as any good woman would do and I sprinkle the freshly crushed juice upon the paths of the lives of many to sweeten their steps. And when poison rises up from the ethers, my juices will become the anecdote to slay the fiercest of dragons. Yes I am woman. Hear me roar.
But some days, my inner lion is more like a tiny kitten just looking for a warm spot filled with sunlight where I may rest lazily and purr even just for a minute.
And so here I am without a heroine to slay my dragons and battle for me. Because time has ticked away and I am now left without my personal army.
So at last heavy breath, I open the door to the garden of my life where I may be a child. I can watch and fly with butterflies. I can dance in the pixie dust and play like I am the queen of the fairies! The waterfalls carry me through miles of luscious sweet tropical flowers as the birds sing with laughter. I can touch the sky as I fly and soar into the heavens and get wet in the mist of my own happiness.
And there she is, Karla. Stout old, arms stretched with a big warm hug. Thank God! Let's play Karla and she beckons me closer. And upon reaching her, she turns me into a little pearl and places me on a big lush pillow. She can see that I am tattered and dirty. So Karla reaches into her magical bag and pulls out a Orion of Lavender and Citrus and rubs it on me. She takes the softest cloth and holds me so preciously. She works through the rain, and the sunbeams turn my tears to brilliant rainbows. She tidies the streaks placed u pon me and gives them a special shimmer that makes me a one of a kind pearl. And after an eternity of shining and sparkling that will never feel like enough, Karla gently and lovingly places me back on my pillow. I rest in the warm glow of the sun. Then, when it is time, Karla turns me back into a warrior.
And with a new pocket full of dreams, I return to my life.

Heal Your Mind and Heal Your LIFE!!
It is becoming more widely accepted that our physical maladies are caused (or contributed to) by unresolved angers, traumas, guilt, grief and the like.
Gary Craig, Engineer, Lecturer, Author
Our previous understanding of how our bodies and our minds work is in need of important revisions and redirected research. Traditional medicine has always sought to dispel the power of the mind, body and spirit working in concert as a natural and credible source of healing. Yet. Indigenous people, peoples of antiquity, eastern curative measures have always held it to be an undeniable truth that we are connected to our universe and everything in it through energy. Actually, even Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, Nobel Laureate in medicine stated:
In every culture and in very medical tradition before ours, healing was accomplished by moving energy.
So, in this regard, you can change anything in your life right now! Not when you get a new job. Not waiting for life to change or when your relationship is in perfect shape, or when your money problems are over, your children go to school or the moon is in the right place in the universe. Right now, you can change your life simply by learning to shift your energy from negative to positive. heal your energy and you will heal your life.
The power of your brain and mind is more powerful than anything else in your life. Your thoughts make you well or ill. YOU can do it.
You can change ANYTHING! Control your brain because your brain enables your body. You can run, sit, read, sing, dance, laugh, get a job, eat, sleep, and heal because of your brains involvement.
Because your brain controls your own body's energy and the effects your energy creates in your body, it controls everything about your life.
You can't eat or sleep or dance or swing a bat or attempt to land a job or change a habit or heal without your brain's involvement. Every cell in your body is an amazing tiny powerhouse, producing energy that supplies your entire body with energy!
And your Brain controls it all...even when you aren't aware of its influence. Once you become appreciative and aware of the infinite power of your brain, you can utilize techniques that expand the capacity of your brain to heal, grow, create and imagine. If you want to change your life, nurture your m ind and energy sources. When you clutter your mind with wasteful, sad, negative thoughts, your life energy will also be depleted. Utilize your brain to power you through life and your energy to accomplish and achieve fulfillment will flourish!
Because your brain controls your energy, your body, your life, YOU can make the changes you desire. Heal your thoughts and you shall heal your life!
Prosper!

Coach Lynn on Addiction
There are some personalitites that are addictive. That is, they are in some ways predisposed to addiction of any kind. Here are some signs that you may have an addictive personality and what to do about it.
People who have difficulty thinking about the long term consequences of their actins are more susceptible to developing an addiction.
Insecurity and those who h ave difficulty dealing with stress may more quickly turn to addictive bahaviors or substances in an attempt to alleviate stress in the short turn in order to deal with negative emotions.
Those who suffer from other mental illnesses, such as anxiety disorders, depression or absessive-compulsive disorder, are also at greater risk for developing addictions. They may turn to an addiction as a way to reliee their other problems.
People who already have strong habitual attachments to socially acceptable behaviors, such as coffee drinking, overeating, excessive television, may be at risk for more serious addictions. Be watchful of their behaviors, particularly in stressful or emotional situations.
No matter whether you have identifed that you have an addictive personality or not, don't panic. You can Avoid Addiction of any kind:
The good news is: If you are aware of the traits of addictive personality, you are in a better position to avoid the behaviors that lead to long-term addictions. Simply having these traits does not guarantee that you will become an addict.
1) Be aware of your own habits and tendencies
2) Actively make choices that avoid repetitive and addictive behavior before it becomes an issue for which you need to seek professional help.
3) If the signs of addiction show up, get help right away. The longer you wait the harder it will become to shake it.
4) Be knowledgeable. Perhaps knowing what signs to look for may also help you recognize a problem in those you love and care about.
Someday, we will all be able to turn away from looking for quick fixes when our lives are not working out the way we'd wish. On that day, your GNP (Gross Happiness Product) will be more important than that of any Gross National Product!! Remember those words and choose to live without addiction of any kind. If need be, don't try to fight the battle alone. Please get help!
Prosper!

WELCOME FRIENDS AND FANS!!
Welcome, everyone, to my first BLOG for the COACH LYNN SHOW!!!
I am so excited to be able to provide another avenue to keep in touch with all my friends and fans and send updates about what has been happening on the Coach Lynn Show.
I was very honored to have His Excellency, Ambassador Maen Areikat, on my show LIVE Monday in which we discussed topics including the diverse religious beliefs in the region, the idea of a 2 state or shared area, and the million dollar, controversial question, "Is Peace possible in the Middle East?" It was a very lively discussion that included Aziz Farag, Bureau Chief for Saudi TV, and Dr. Ziad Asali, President of The American Task Force on Palestine. It was a very lively discussion. the phone lines are still ringing off of the hook! You can view this show or any of our archived shows at http://www.coachlynnshow.com/. It is the behindthe scenes broadcast. Can you tell how nervous I was at first? I tried to remember the customs like not shaking with my left hand, tried to remember to look at him and you (the camera) at the same time, and everything else a radio talk show host being filmed needs to remember!
This is your blog. It is interactive. You can get advice on anything and even vent abut your day! We are a global family and we need every thing possible to bring us together.
STAY TUNED!!! BIG ANNOUNCEMENT COMING SOON!
ALERT: We have now activated our LIVE call-in lines. You may call us during the broadcasts at 858-866-9428.
QUERY FOR THE WEEK:
Here is my first question for you to sound off about ---- respectfully only or you will be deleted.
Is being gay a hormonal situation or a choice?
