Be the Leader You"re Looking For

I receive many letters from you from all over the world aching for techniques on how better to enjoy your marriages, children, jobs. I also receive requests for strategies about conquering worry, depression and getting over the past. My answer to all of these questions is simple--- live each day as if it were your last day. Celebrate life and even all of it's issues and complexities. Be thankful for that baby who keeps you up all night. Enjoy that house you work so hard for. Look at those daily challenges and realize that there can be no progress without
struggle. And if you didn't know pain, you'd never appreciate joy.
So as you go about your life today,
Remember coach lynns motivational message. It goes like this:
Coach Lynn's Motivational Message: Are you a person who really wants things to change?
Are you a person who changes those things or are you perpetually looking for a leader or a hero? Why can't you lead others to find peaceful solutions, save the planet, shape the world, end racial discrimination, help end religious persecution, make relationships happy and healthy, help empower children, or any of the things you wish could change. You are that hero. You are that leader. When you answer your personal calling, you have already impacted the world. Why? Because one more person got inspired. One more person boosted the dream to believe. One more person proved that despite any and everything in the way, the heart and spirit endure.

Coach Lynn Show: Your Own Personal Army of Wellness

Coach Lynn Show: Your Own Personal Army of Wellness

Your Own Personal Army of Wellness

How you feel about yourself and your life is not only based on how your job is going or how much money you have to pay your bills,.  How you feel should also incorporate whether you feel good in your own skin, whether you truly feel worthy enough to take care of yourself in ways that only you can do.  Welcome to the Health and Wellness segment.

One of the reasons I always make sure that we have a health and wellness tip in each show is because you may forget about how important it is to keep things in balance in order to achieve success and happiness in your job, relationships, goals and personal pursuits. You see even with all of the titles and education in the world, even with a wonderful job or relationships, you won’t be able to continue if you take your health for granted and don’t take care of yourself.  Look at your life as a whole picture where everything is divided up and care for your relationships, your professional pursuits and your health equally.
Here is a wellness tip that you should consider brought to you by Pebbles Wellness.com where you can purchase wellness supplements of all types.
Let’s talk about why it is important to boost your immune system.
Do you ever wish you had your own army to protect you against any attack?  Guess what>  you do!  Your immune system houses special cells, proteins, tissues, and organs, defends people against germs and microorganisms every day.
Learn to get excited and creative about foods that boost your immune system like apples, olives, brown rice, olive oil, oranges, leafy greens, broccoli, and cantaloupe.  Keep a log that allows you to  Take a look at your food intake by list the types of food that you eat each day.  Once you get into the habit, your body will work on autopilot craving healthier food.

Increase your body’s ability to protect you from illness by eating
vegetables, whole grains, beans, fruit, leafy greens and roots to build your body's ability to protect itself from becoming sick. Include fish and poultry in your diet because these foods give the body strength.

Avoid deserts every day of the week or even three times a week. A consistent intake of high-fat diet food guarantees a decline in the body's immune system and eventually the start of a serious illness.

Cut down on large quantities of red meat and eggs because these foods contain fats because they are not easily digestible which will reduce the risk of your body wearing down to where your warriors are too weak to fight on your behalf!

Evaluate your eating habits and be truthful with yourself.  Determine how you will eat healthier foods and be knowledgeable about your intake of vitamins and minerals.  And as with anything, balance is key!
Explore the wonder of Medicinal Herbs, Spices and Cancer-Fighting Foods
Garlic pills and fresh garlic combined is a  powerful wellness and health  booster. It  stabilizes the immune system when taken over a long period.
Green tea and black tea  contain antioxidants, bioflavonoids, tannins and indoles. All of these antioxidants have proved to fight cancer and boost your immune system!

Be a lifelong learner and commit to learning about how you can use  medicinal plants and herbal supplements to complement your traditional health regimens. The days of only embracing traditional medicine are over. Even some of the best hospitals in the country now have natural health components.  Think back.  Natural medicine created traditional medicine. We have used natural herbs and plants to build our medicines for centuries.
And last but definitely not least, use exercise to build a defense system against illness.  WORK UP A SWEAT!  Walk 4 times a week, or jog 4 times a week for at least 30 minutes. Sweating rids you of toxins and builds your immune system simultaneously.  It is a TWO FOR ONE DEAL!

Start exercising if you don't exercise now. Here is an extra tip:  Keep in mind the benefits that BEEF UP YOUR immune system: Antioxidants!  They prevent disease, boost the immune system, and slow the aging process. Antioxidants also protect your body from arthritis, allergies, cataracts, cancer, the common cold, the flu and heart disease by eating antioxidants.

How to Deal With Life Challenges

One thing is for sure!  You "live" your whole life long.  But how you live is entirely up to you.  Many people don’t see it that way.  But do you?  Do you realize that you keep communicating and developing throughout your lifetime?  Well today, I will look deeper into the philosophy of live, love, laugh and see how three simple words can change your life!    How do you incorporate each of these things in your life and which area is lacking most?
What life issue do you find yourself bumping up against the most?  In a survey, the top five issues that people said they are dealing with the most were:
1)    Money   2)  Jobs   3) Relationships  4) Parenting issues  And  5)  Health  Some others were the end of the world, and what people think of you.
 HERE ARE:

The Top 5 Ways To Appreciate Your Life  EVEN WITH ITS CHALLENGES!
1.    FOCUS on the idea that things can always get better – You may be having a rough time in your life right now, but you need to sit down and think about the fact that you’ve had many other amazing times in your life.
2.    Get a pet or play with a puppy. Pets give love unconditionally.  Puppies are full of life and wonder.  They will literally make you laugh just watching them!  When you are down, they will literally cheer you up and love you through anything.  Having a pet can get you through some very rough times because no matter what, they’re always there for you. Dogs are called “a mans best friend” for a reason. Having a pet is like having a permanent emotional support system on call.
3.    Watch or play with a baby – When you look at a baby, especially one that’s laughing or smiling, you can’t help but feel happy. The innocence of a baby, their energy and vibrance can fill an entire room.  Babies represent hope and you can attach to hope always.
4.    Appreciate your life MORE. -  Even though you don’t have everything you need and things have happened that make you unhappy, appreciate the things you do have.  Don’t dwell on the negative things, give gratitude for the simple things.
5.    Volunteer to  help someone less fortunate.  -  Nothing puts things in perspective more like taking a walk with the guy who has no shoes.  Like that old adage says, I used to think my shoes were old and dirty, uncomfortable and too small until I talked to the guy who had no shoes.  Put yourself to work helping someone who is less fortunate than you so that you     can recognize that no matter how terrible things are today, someone, somewhere is worse off.  If you use what you do have to help them, you will feel more fulfilled.

WANT TO CONQUER THESE FEELINGS?

Here is your homework:  For the next five days, utilize each of the top five strategies.  Then, incorporate them into every day for a month.  What you will find is that at the end of that month, your life would have already changed for the better … and guess what?  You’ll appreciate it!

The signs of addiction...

 KNOW THE SIGNS OF ADDICTION
There are some personalities that in and of  themselves are addictive. That is, they are in some ways predisposed to addiction.  Here are some signs that you may have an addictive personality and what to do about it.
1.     People who have difficulty thinking about the long term consequences of their actions are more susceptible to developing an addiction.
2.     Insecurity and those who have difficulty dealing with stress  may more quickly turn to addictive behaviors or substances in an attempt  to alleviate stress in the short turn in order to deal with negative emotions.
3.    Those who suffer from other mental illnesses, such as anxiety disorders, depression or obsessive-compulsive disorder, are also at greater risk for developing addictions. They may turn to an addiction as a way to relieve their other problems.
4.    People who already have strong habitual attachments to socially acceptable behaviors, such as coffee drinking,  overeating, excessive television, may be at risk for more serious addictions.   be watchful of their behaviors, particularly in stressful or emotional situations.

No matter whether you have identified that you have an addictive personality or not, don’tpanic.  You can Avoid Addiction of anykind:

The good news is: If you are aware of the traits of addictive personality, you are in a better position to avoid the behaviors that lead to long-term addictions. Simply having these traits does not guarantee that you will become an addict.

1)    Be aware of your own habits and tendencies,
2)    Actively make choices that avoid repetitive and addictive behavior before it becomes an issue for which you need to seek professional help.
3)    If the signs of addiction show up, get help right away.   The longer you wait the harder it will become to shake it.
4)       Be knowledgeable. Perhaps knowing what signs to look for may also help you recognize a problem in those you love and care about.

MOTIVATIONAL VITAMIN: "SUCCESS"

A great philosopher once said that in order to succeed, you must first, be in the game.  Are you in the game of preserving your health and well being?  Perhaps you wait until there is a health crisis before you pay yourself any attention. Perhaps you go along thinking “I M PRETTY HEALTHY,” so you don’t really DO anything at all.  Perhaps you are completely in denial eating whatever you want, walking around stressed and tired.
You cannot be successful in any area of life if you have a laissez faire attitude about taking care of yourself.  When you deny yourself the ability to rest, relax and recharge, you essentially give yourself the subconscious message “I am not worth any extra effort.”
These are difficult times.  Times of increased violence, job loss, hopelessness and struggle.  But that also means that you must be ever vigilant to stay positive, focused, healthy and energetic.  Supply yourself with things that boost self esteem, people who support your emotionally and intellectually, a basis that supports you spiritually, strategies that assist you financially, and plenty of attitude that keeps you laughing and going strong.
Stay motivated!
